PS. SWOON is a full-scale production studio creating fashion, branding, architectural and fine art photography with a unique perspective for both established and emerging clients.

As a studio filled with makers, creators, and artists, we are passionate about collaborating with emerging brands, artists and creative entrepreneurs who need beautiful, consistent still life or on-figure work for product or social media content. We aim to be straightforward in pricing and have designed packages that reflect a minimal number of people on set and reduced scope, allowing access to entry-point opportunities with a high level of execution and taste. A selection of our packages is outlined below.

ART DIRECTION

PS.SWOON believes in the power of art direction. On small-scale productions the photographer is the art director unless otherwise requested. On large-scale productions an art director will always be on set. We want to partner with other creatives and can provide you with the photographer and crew you need. LARGE SCALE PRODUCTIONS

‍Let’s collaborate. We have a variety of experience and a talented network of creative partners. Shoots that require a full crew are exciting but complex. We know how to make them run smoothly, beautifully and stay on budget. We can provide mood boards and concept, photographer, art director, styling, producer, model selections and location recommendations. Photoshoots that include more than the client, photographer, art director, photo assistant and one model requires a producer to be onsite to manage crew and talent, timing, catering/craft services, location/set selection, rentals, etc.

SMALL SCALE PRODUCTIONS

As artists and entrepreneurs ourselves, we understand the need for smaller scale shoots that still exudes the level of quality required to make a campaign successful. To meet this need, we provide full-day and half-day (five hour) packages with limited deliverables for emerging brands. We also provide reduced rates for commitments of three months or more.

ARTISTS PORTRAITS

Designed with creatives in mind, this reduced-rate package allows for quick shoots with limited set up and crew, authentically capturing the artist in their space or element.

An offering rooted in collaboration, PHOTOSTUDIO by Swoon (PS.SWOON) is a holistic production studio born out of a passion for working with and supporting creatives. Specializing in art-forward imagery and asset creation, we provide a range of in-house services with rate transparency that’s easy to understand while fostering our network of photographers through video, fine art editions, and campaigns.

PUBLICATIONS

‍With a focus on emerging creatives, we have created an offering to lay out and print small-run editions on newsprint, this solution is perfect for look books and brand publications. PS.Swoon provides layout (three rounds of revisions), print coordination, and delivery to a single address. Client provides copy. Ten-day delivery once design is approved.

IMAGE PROCESSING

Each image we deliver is carefully considered and post-produced with our signature style. This involves color correction, exposure adjustment, selective black-and-white processing, clarity adjustments, tone-mapping, and other corrections. With this, we do not typically deliver RAW files, only fully processed images.

IMAGE DELIVERY

‍We don’t deliver every image shot. We try our best to eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions, and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery. We want you to have the very best. All images will be carefully selected and supplied in high-res tiff or jpeg form, whichever is your preference.

RETOUCH

Post-production includes touch-ups such as smoothing out skin tone, removing dust and debris from a shot, etc. Minimal retouch is included in our rates.

Advanced retouch includes objects removed from the scene, changing the size and shape of body parts or other objects in the shot, adding objects to a shot, and other custom work. We charge hourly for custom post-production, as the time required ranges depending on project complexity.

TIMING

‍First-round images: 2 weeks from shoot
Retouched images: 2 weeks from first round image approval
Final images: 1 week from retouched image approval

BILLING

‍We bill 75% at estimate approval and 25% when final photos/publication are delivered.

‍

ADDITIONAL FEES

‍We do our best to have all fees outlined up front, so there are no surprises.
Tax is billed at 8.25%.

OVERTIME

‍We know shoots can go long! If that happens, we bill overtime at $400 per hour for photographer and art director.
